Monday

..theres always tomorrow

ONEHUNDREDANDFIVE.

so on Friday, my dad told me he was at KU (university of kansas) for his fraternity's reunion...because i have yet to see him in a matter of months, i jumped in my car and drove to kansas, with a couple stops along the way.

some of my "uncles"

the red head from home aka my friend jenna also attends KU; it was good to see some DMVness in the mid-west.
...and her friends were awesome
...and thats a deer burger. yup. bambi.

driving 14+hours, in one weekend, in a car by yourself gives you a lot if time to be with your own thoughts. by about hour 4 i gave in, and let my mildly schizophrenic brain take over...and this is how i plan to save the world.

list 'o revelations.

1. spontaneity is beautiful. a lot of my "type A-ness" died this weekend.

2.you learn more about yourself, when your with people who are nothing like you. An army of identical minions can never be enlightening.

3. an absence of negativity for 72 hours was so refreshing, so im bringing it back to champaign. #killthegrump

4. i've become 6x more judgmental in the past 8 months. and i can't stand it. so i'm changing that. forever.

5. there is nothing wrong with talking to yourself.

6. turn your ipod off. I was left with Danielle's CD case full of old vulgar high school music, an array of country stations, or silence...i choose to take my first step in ending the judgment and gave country a fighting chance for an hour.

7. now, i can honestly say....that 97% of country music is not for me, but now i can tell you why.

8. every person is placed in your life for a reason, subsequently...everyone leaves your life for a reason. Holding on to old relationships will leave you bitter and complacent.

9. family is everything. by blood or by heart...they are everything.

10. ignorance is not the problem. we are all somewhat ignorant about unknown situations or people. its choosing not to amend said ignorance that stalls progression.

im not preaching...just sharing my thoughts. to each his own; just as long as ya'll keep livin' out there, im good!
